Reflecting the “Chaise Sifel”, a monumental sculpture by the artist Caroline Corbeau, La Sivolière prefers to welcome its guests with a surge of humour and finesse, rather than with a sterile feel.
Positioned within nature, in an honoured setting, which could not be more relaxed. As in contrast with plenty of houses, La Sivolière loves to devote itself to another idea of luxury… Beyond the discretion and the tranquillity which characterises it, it is for its friendliness, which detracts nothing from its sophistication, that people are whispering about. Established almost 30 years ago, right in the heart of the area of Courchevel 1850, La Sivolière today still remains the Best-Kept Secret of the Resort.
Here, children are customers just like everyone else, the Mini Sivo Club offers a real 5-star hotel variation, “Famille Plus Montagne”-certified. From their arrival, children are welcomed as “adults” in the mini-reception which is reserved for them, where they check in and receive their Mini Sivo Passport.
During the stay, they choose from many activities: cooking workshops, supervised by the chef in person, a chance to create their own “fragrance”, master chocolatiers, jewellery…
Its wooden and stone chalet – has found its setting, between snow and pine trees. In total, 23 rooms, 11 suites and 2 apartments “wake up”, looking over the forest and the slopes, or the village beneath the mountains.
Loyal to what makes exceptional mountain chalets charming, La Sivolière blends alpine tradition and contemporary design. During the full renovation in 2010, the architect of this rebirth, Tristan Auer, attached himself to respecting Savoyard heritage – by keeping the old woodwork and the warm and welcoming feel in the rooms.
The rooms, most especially, favour raw timber and gentle materials – varnish, silk and velvet – to warm up in winter and offer the charm of an ultra-cosy “getting back to nature” stay. The wood and stone in the lobby embody the minerality and force the contrast with sofas inspired by Art Nouveau and the alcove of the entrance, which recreates the ambience of a smokehouse.

Duplex Apartment
Authentic chalet in La Sivolière with a gorgeous view of La Dent du Villard, glaciers of La Vanoise and the village.
First floor, living room with hardwood floor and fireplace, large dining room & an open kitchen. Master bedroom with a large comfortable bed, bathroom with separate bath tub and shower.
Second floor, two charming attic rooms with each their own bathroom, one with shower and the other one with bath tub, branded robes and slippers.
